Castiglion del Bosco

Griffin Structures, Inc., as developer and program/construction manager, managed all aspects of the project on behalf of the owner partnership. The luxury resort is located 60 miles south of Florence, Italy, in the Province of Siena and in the heart of Tuscany, 125 miles north of Rome. The estate encompasses an area of nearly 4,400 acres and is of great history, with a number of structures many centuries old... some dating to the year 1100. This project included a borgo (village center), a boutique hotel and spa, restaurant and culinary academy, villas (sold as fractional interests or time shares), an 18-hole Tom Weiskopf designed championship golf course, a 9-hole executive golf course, winery, and various exclusive members-only club facilities and amenities. The villas included new construction as well as present conversion of a number of stone farmhouses dating to the 15th and 16th century.

An important feature of the estate is the continuing operation of a notable vineyard in production of Sangiovese grapes to create an award winning Brunello wine. Winery operations are incorporated into the resort’s programs and features, including the Culinary Academy and the Spa.
