Grand Prix Place - Long Beach, CA

Grand Prix Place has the potential to become an icon not only for the Long Beach Grand Prix, but for the city of Long Beach. Ideally situated on the corner of First Street and Long Beach Boulevard, Grand Prix Place will become the focal point of the Green Gate entry to the Long Beach Grand Prix. The project will incorporate a 3 level state-of-the-art Grand Prix Museum and museum shop, a French style bistro and 9 floors of unique luxury loft style homes all of which capture the excitement of The Long Beach Grand Prix. The expressive architectural style of Kenneth Wing will be preserved along the street level elevation of the building which includes an undulating first floor plate as well as a generous exterior environment. An attached parking structure provides easy access to the museum levels as well as the residential tower above. Outdoor dining space will front the Boulevard and animate the street level façade. Other features include a two-story volume museum space, connecting the lower galleries to the main entry lobby; suspended exhibits, graphics, lighting and signage that animate the volume and draw the visitor through the museum; a separate lecture and special exhibit space; and a residential component with striking views and an ideal central location. The Grand Prix Tower is poised to become a local and regional destination, and is central to the Long Beach Grand Prix, the Long Beach Performing Art Center, the eclectic and artistic East Village area as well as the vibrant Downtown Long Beach business and entertainment districts,
