Griffin was retained to perform a Needs Assessment study for the City of Buena Park to evaluate site requirements for a possible new Public Works Yard. The existing yard is in a redevelopment area and may be a candidate site for alternative uses. The City required the analysis of space needs under assumptions of modern and efficient use of facilities, new equipment storage methods, and continued present scope of City services, including Streets Maintenance, Water Utilities, Sewer Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Vehicle Maintenance, Central Warehousing, and yard administration and support. The study also included a survey of other city yard operations as comparisons, for cities with similar services offered.
