Community Center, Senior Center, and Parking Garage - City of Laguna Beach

This $15 million project began with detailed programming and planning for the Laguna Beach Senior Center under contract to the Laguna Beach Seniors, Inc., a private not-for-profit corporation. The Needs Assessment Project is discussed under its own heading. The project has evolved into “turn-key” program management for the Laguna Beach Senior Center, the City of Laguna Beach Community Center, and an associated underground common parking garage. This project demonstrates the integration of programming services with project delivery. The project design requires attention to preserve sight lines from neighbors living on the hillside above the project site, to preserve the village character of the downtown, and to maintain core relationships with the program and with the function-driven aspects of the project.
