Bowers Museum & Kidseum

Mr. Torriero, CEO of Griffin Realty Corporation, served on the Board of Governors of the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art in Orange County, California, and he also served as the Chair of its Facilities Committee during its $12 million expansion and renovation. The project involved a mix of renovation and new construction, with key decisions required to maximize the value of funds expended. This resulted in a program which is a premier museum venue both locally and state-wide. The project included 60,000 square feet of building with display areas, courtyards, and dynamic spaces for enhanced museum experience. This was a cooperative effort including the City of Santa Ana, and the non-profit Arts Board. The project was delivered on schedule and on budget, and demonstrates the team’s understanding of what is needed to deliver best-in-class museum facilities.
