This Griffin project included many activities related to the development of a 200 acre commercial, retail, and industrial development in Henderson, NV. Key elements of this engagement also entailed land assembly and acquisition, right-of-way negotiation, utility and infrastructure development, and public outreach.
In particular, Griffin Structures is Program Manager for the development of a regional park which, when completed, will reclaim a key element of the old mine site. This work has included management of the design of the key public facility component of the development. It is expected that the detention basin construction will begin soon. The park itself includes a 19 acre lake, and 4 acres of non-parking, non-slope area, with 22 acres of useable land open space. Adjacent parking for 470 vehicles and oversized buses is provided, outside the 100-year flood elevation. The 19 acre lake provides 3600 linear feet of shoreline, and 370 linear. feet of waterfront dock, with two separate overlook areas.
Griffin also structured, managed and implemented a series of community outreach programs in order to determine potential user preferences on park components, culminating in a definitive plan for the project which was well received. In this process, we also engage neighboring homeowners' associations to discover and ascertain their concerns and to seek their input on opportunities.
